Your Local Louisville, Ohio Roofing Company
Louisville homeowners deal with the same tough Ohio weather as everyone else in Stark County, but the older housing stock here means roofs are working harder and showing their age. Whether your place is a 1960s ranch near Sandy Creek or a newer colonial out near Chapel Hill, HOF Roofing can help. We are based in Canton and come up Route 44 to handle Louisville jobs, so you are never waiting long for someone to show up. Our crews are actual roofers with 45 years of combined experience, not door-to-door salespeople. We offer free no-obligation inspections, handle most replacements in a single day, and back every job with a 10-year transferable workmanship warranty. We are bonded and insured, and we clean up completely with a magnetic sweep so your yard looks like we were never there.

Louisville Roofing Challenges
Roofing in Louisville: What to Know
Louisville's roofing challenges come from two directions at once: the age of the homes and the relentless Ohio weather. The post-war ranches and split-levels near downtown were built with lower pitches and original materials that were not designed to last 60 or 70 years, and many have already had one roof added on top of another, which hides deck problems and shortens the life of whatever is on top. Sandy Creek runs through town and the lower areas near the creek see more moisture exposure, which accelerates shingle breakdown and algae growth. The subdivisions along Route 44 that went up in the 1990s are now old enough to have first-generation shingles wearing out, and high winds that sweep across open ground near Route 62 regularly lift corners and tear off tabs. Ice dams in winter are a real concern on the older homes with inadequate attic ventilation, and freeze-thaw works into every small crack the summer storms open up.

What Stark County Homeowners Say
Jessica, Rodney and the entire team at HOF Roofing were excellent to work with. We are extremely grateful that they went above and beyond for us to ensure that our roof was paid for by the insurance company. The crew had the new roof on in one day! Meticulous cleanup and care for our plants.
Got several estimates and HOF came in well under all of the others. They gave us informative options as far as financing and broke down the scope of work so we could decide what to do now versus next year. No pressure at all.
I recently had storm damage and HOF came to my rescue! They completed the roof in a day and the siding in another. Big project, done in two days. Jess kept me in the loop the whole time with what was happening. The house looks brand new.

FAQs
Roofing in Louisville: Common Questions
Are you licensed and insured?
We are fully bonded and insured, and we are an A+ Accredited Business with the BBB. Worth knowing: Ohio does not actually license roofing contractors, so any company claiming a state roofing license is stretching the truth. What you should look for instead is proof of insurance, a manufacturer certification, and a real track record. We carry all three, including the CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster credential, the highest certification the manufacturer offers. Ask any roofer for their certificate of insurance before you hire. We are always happy to share ours.
Can I get a new roof installed in one day?
For most homes, yes. About 99 percent of our roof replacements are finished in a single day. We bring a full crew so the tear-off, any decking repairs, and the full new roof all happen in one visit, with the cleanup done before we leave. Only the largest or most complex homes ever need a second day, and we will tell you up front if yours is one of them. A one-day install also means your home is exposed for the shortest time possible, which matters during Ohio's unpredictable weather.
Can roof repairs stop leaks permanently?
When the leak is found and fixed correctly, yes. The catch is that a lot of leaks are misdiagnosed: water can travel along the decking and show up far from where it actually got in. We have solved leaks that other companies chased for years because we take the time to trace the real source, not just caulk the wet spot. On a roof with plenty of life left, a proper repair holds. On a roof that is worn out everywhere, repairs become a losing game, and we will tell you so honestly. The diagnosis starts with a free inspection.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with Foundation Finance and Acorn Finance to offer flexible plans, and on a typical roof around 9,000 dollars, payments run near 110 dollars a month. The application takes just a few minutes, and roughly 90 percent of applicants with a 550 or higher credit score are approved. Because offers are tailored to each person and change often, we go over your real options in person rather than guessing online. Financing can also help you cover an insurance deductible. We will lay it all out at your free estimate.
Do you remove the old roof or install over it?
We do a full tear-off down to the decking, every time. Layering new shingles over old ones hides problems, adds weight, and shortens the life of the new roof, so we do not do it. Stripping the roof lets us inspect the wood underneath, replace any rotten decking, and start clean. On every replacement we also swap out all the underlayment, soft metals, flashing, and drip edge, not just the shingles. That is the difference between a roof that looks new and a roof that is actually new.
Do you serve my area?
Most likely, yes. We run three offices, in Canton, Akron, and Parma, and our crews cover all of Stark and Summit County plus the surrounding towns every single day. That includes Cleveland, North Canton, Massillon, Green, Louisville, Alliance, Wadsworth, Kent, and many more. If you are anywhere in Northeast Ohio, there is a good chance we are already working in your neighborhood. Not sure? Just call us and we will tell you straight whether we cover your address. No runaround.
