Your Local Akron, Ohio Roofing Company
Akron has its own office and its own crews, right on S Main St, so when a Summit County homeowner calls us, help is close. We have put new roofs on the century homes of Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights, fixed leaks in Highland Square, and handled storm claims all over the city. Akron's older housing stock is wonderful, but it asks more of a roofer, and that is exactly the kind of work we enjoy. Whether you are dealing with a sudden leak, hail from the last storm, or a roof that has simply reached the end of its run, you get the same roofer-owned crew and the same 10-year workmanship warranty here as anywhere we work.

Akron Roofing Challenges
Roofing in Akron: What to Know
Akron sits in the path of lake-effect snow rolling down from Lake Erie, so winters here pile on weight and feed the ice dams that form along eaves and in valleys. The city's many century homes, especially the solid old houses in Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights, often have steep pitches, multiple roof planes, and original chimneys that demand careful flashing work. Those same homes frequently have older or under-built attic ventilation, which shortens shingle life and worsens ice dams, so we look hard at airflow on every Akron job. Summers bring the hail and wind that damage shingles across Summit County. We know how Akron's roofs are built, how they fail, and how to put them back together so they last.

What Summit County Homeowners Say
Got several estimates and HOF came in well under all of the others. They gave us informative options as far as financing and broke down the scope of work so we could decide what to do now versus next year. No pressure at all.
Owner Rodney, Sales Rep Jeremy, and the whole roofing crew were absolutely amazing! First, a very reasonable quote by Rodney. They completed the roof in a day and a half. Meticulous cleanup! A walkabout with the rep to verify satisfaction. Real, courteous professionalism.
Jessica, Rodney and the entire team at HOF Roofing were excellent to work with. We are extremely grateful that they went above and beyond for us to ensure that our roof was paid for by the insurance company. The crew had the new roof on in one day! Meticulous cleanup and care for our plants.

FAQs
Roofing in Akron: Common Questions
Are you licensed and insured?
We are fully bonded and insured, and we are an A+ Accredited Business with the BBB. Worth knowing: Ohio does not actually license roofing contractors, so any company claiming a state roofing license is stretching the truth. What you should look for instead is proof of insurance, a manufacturer certification, and a real track record. We carry all three, including the CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster credential, the highest certification the manufacturer offers. Ask any roofer for their certificate of insurance before you hire. We are always happy to share ours.
Can I get a new roof installed in one day?
For most homes, yes. About 99 percent of our roof replacements are finished in a single day. We bring a full crew so the tear-off, any decking repairs, and the full new roof all happen in one visit, with the cleanup done before we leave. Only the largest or most complex homes ever need a second day, and we will tell you up front if yours is one of them. A one-day install also means your home is exposed for the shortest time possible, which matters during Ohio's unpredictable weather.
Can roof repairs stop leaks permanently?
When the leak is found and fixed correctly, yes. The catch is that a lot of leaks are misdiagnosed: water can travel along the decking and show up far from where it actually got in. We have solved leaks that other companies chased for years because we take the time to trace the real source, not just caulk the wet spot. On a roof with plenty of life left, a proper repair holds. On a roof that is worn out everywhere, repairs become a losing game, and we will tell you so honestly. The diagnosis starts with a free inspection.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with Foundation Finance and Acorn Finance to offer flexible plans, and on a typical roof around 9,000 dollars, payments run near 110 dollars a month. The application takes just a few minutes, and roughly 90 percent of applicants with a 550 or higher credit score are approved. Because offers are tailored to each person and change often, we go over your real options in person rather than guessing online. Financing can also help you cover an insurance deductible. We will lay it all out at your free estimate.
Do you remove the old roof or install over it?
We do a full tear-off down to the decking, every time. Layering new shingles over old ones hides problems, adds weight, and shortens the life of the new roof, so we do not do it. Stripping the roof lets us inspect the wood underneath, replace any rotten decking, and start clean. On every replacement we also swap out all the underlayment, soft metals, flashing, and drip edge, not just the shingles. That is the difference between a roof that looks new and a roof that is actually new.
Do you serve my area?
Most likely, yes. We run three offices, in Canton, Akron, and Parma, and our crews cover all of Stark and Summit County plus the surrounding towns every single day. That includes Cleveland, North Canton, Massillon, Green, Louisville, Alliance, Wadsworth, Kent, and many more. If you are anywhere in Northeast Ohio, there is a good chance we are already working in your neighborhood. Not sure? Just call us and we will tell you straight whether we cover your address. No runaround.
